It’s become a tradition in Hershey after special Bears games; jerseys auctions in which fans live bid on game worn jerseys from the game they just watched. After Hershey’s opening night, Bears players held up their jerseys for fans in sections 119 though 121 to see an let them bid on. Joel Rechlicz’s jersey was the highest seller at $2,000. All the final prices from the current players are below the jump.
If you recall on Saturday, the Hershey Bears wore special sweaters for their home opener to celebrate their 75th year in existence. After the game, the organization held a special event down at center ice and auctioned off each player’s jersey. The end result? The Bears raised an extraordinary $39,950 for their charities and a few lucky fans got to go home with a personally signed game-used jersey from their favorite player.
Which sweater ended up raising the most cash? The result may shock you.
